How do we pass the time while "waiting" for things from China and while we are in Denmark?

We're counting down and hope that everything will be shipped from China before 20 Dec. We know right now that everything is set for production. It's important that everything is shipped from China before 20 December, otherwise the project will be paused/postponed further as Chinese New Year starts on 20 December. We are therefore crossing everything we can.

We have decided to buy all the paint for the hotel on Malé, the main island of the Maldives, so they can start laying the tiles as soon as they arrive in Maafushi. We did this to speed up the process!

While we're waiting, we're holding meetings with inspiring and fun-loving people who could be potential business partners. Frederikke has also attended Vacayyy's bootcamp, where she spent time with the girls from Vacayyy. Here she learnt more about what they can offer and got a lot of inspiration.

We also spend time looking at inspiration for interior design, drinks, food, etc 😋

Of course, we also have our bakery here at home, which we need to keep running and employees that we need to look after, as well as training new employees, apprentices going to school, etc. In addition, we have to do the accounts and produce new products. We have a Christmas calendar running from 1-24 December at Det Gyldne Brød, where it is possible to win a lot of delicious prizes on our Facebook page.

Thomas took a trip to London shortly after we returned from China. The trip to London was about going to a travel fair. The Maldives had a huge area compared to all the travel fairs we've been to here at home. There were people from both resort islands and local islands. Thomas also travelled to London to meet with our business partner Ali and the Mayor of Maafushi, Hassan. It was a super nice trip ✨

We've also had Rotpunkt draw up a proposal for our kitchen at the hotel. In addition to that, we have also chosen to buy almost all the kitchen appliances at home, as we know the brands and we know what quality it is in.

Otherwise, we spend our time taking pictures, making videos for social media and talking to our partner 🌴

We are SO excited about all the things that are about to happen at the hotel and to see what it all looks like! But we're even more excited to show you all that part of the process 🤩

In addition, the trip to Bali has been booked, where the last things need to be purchased. So that's another thing we're counting down to 🌴🥥 However, not all of us are going. That's why it's also important to enjoy the time we have together. Of course, we also spend a lot of time with the family when we're finally home and everyone is together. We try to do all the usual Christmas traditions and cosiness at home ❤️
