Visit Resort Sun Siyam Olhuvelhi

When we were here in 2023, we saw little baby turtles swimming around in the water at the resort. It was simply an amazing experience and crazy lucky. Many of the guests staying at the resort weren't interested in the baby turtles at all - which we thought was crazy, because when will you ever see this again? Unfortunately, according to statistics, only 1 in 1000 baby turtles survive.

This resort is great for both children and adults. They have an adult pool and two other pools that children can also use. You can just get on and off the various golf carts that go around. Now that's luxury!

At the resort you can enjoy a meal and plenty of drinks (including alcoholic drinks) when you head out for a day trip. The day trip often lasts from 09:00-17:00. So you have a full day to use their facilities (depending on what's included in the price - you can always buy more). There are a lot of different water sports on the island.

It varies from resort to resort how much you can move around the island and whether you can walk on the bridges to the water villas. This is something that is allowed at this resort. There are many different kinds of cabins and a lot of nice places to take pictures on the island.

The resort also has small shops where you can buy souvenirs/clothing etc. However, this is also something you can do on the local island and the prices are somewhat different. You can also take day trips to local islands from the resorts or to other local islands, such as Fulidhoo, Guraidhoo etc. from Maafushi.
