Marine life in the Maldives

One of the greatest experiences that awaits you in the Maldives is marine and underwater life. You can snorkel and dive with stingrays and nurse sharks. The nurse shark is a social and peaceful shark known as the sharks' couch potato, as it often lies dangling on the seabed.

There is an opportunity to get up close to the wildlife in the water. We see countless corals and fish in all kinds of colours, and we snorkel, dive and hang out at the water's edge with nurse sharks and rays.

On the water we also have excursions where we are lucky enough to see the large and impressive whale shark and the elegant and giant maltarays.

The octopus can be found by hand - if you're lucky 😅 - and we can take them home and worship them for dinner.

Other excursions include fishing trips, paragliding from a boat etc
